The Woodlands 28th Annual Lighting of the Doves and International Winter on the Waterway (iWOW), will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Town Green Park, located at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, from 3-9 p.m.

A popular tradition in The Woodlands, the Lighting of the Doves officially kicks off the 2010 holiday season. Produced by The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau, this year�s festival will include interactive booths and games, a snow play area, balloon artists, face painters, inflatables, ice carvers, amazing fireworks, and much more. The festival will feature live music and entertainment for the entire family, including performances from C.A.S.T. from Class Act Productions, true Texas music from Mason Lankford & The Folk Family Revival, and one of the headlining groups, The Trishas, and many others.

Santa will make his grand entrance in a decorated boat from along The Woodlands Waterway® at the Celebration Stage between 7 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.

iWOW
In conjunction with the Lighting of the Doves, iWOW will also take place at Town Green Park on Nov. 20, from 3 � 9 p.m.

With its �street fair� atmosphere, iWOW showcases the holiday traditions from Japan, Panama, the United States and a myriad of other countries at exhibits along the banks of The Woodlands Waterway®.

From foods, arts & crafts, to music and entertainment, iWOW is certain to add an international flavor to The Woodlands holiday celebrations. Entertainment featured during iWOW includes traditional Indian dances from the Rathna Kumar & Anjali Center for Performing Arts, performances from The Olympic Dancers, lavish routines from dynamic dance troupe Soraya & La Zambra Belly Dance, music from Yelba�s Variety Band, and the headlining performer, Kaminari Taiko of Houston.

Attendees to this year�s festivities will, also, find an array of activity and concession booths along Town Green Park. Vendors include Hubbell & Hudson, Legends Sports Complex, The Woodlands High School Japanese Club and Woodlands Online.

Admission to the festival is free and open to the public.

Parking
On November 20, 2010, free parking for all holiday events in The Woodlands is available at the Green, Yellow and Orange lots on Timberloch Place. If festival attendees bring a new toy (valued at $5 or more) for the Huntsman Corporation Holiday Toy Drive, attendees will find additional free parking at the Town Center Parking Garage and the surface lot at Lake Robbins and Six Pines Drive.

Paid parking will be available at the Town Center Parking Garage on Six Pines Drive, the flat lot at the corner of Lake Robbins Drive and Six Pines Drive, 24 Waterway Square Parking Garage, Waterway Square Parking Garage and the surface lot at the corner of Timberloch Place and Waterway Avenue.

Handicap parking is available in the South Regional Library just west of Town Green Park on Lake Robbins.
