This mission of our agency is to connect and strengthen families, Diana Boulanger said, executive director for Connecting Families. We thought offering a workshop where women can connect with their dreams and goals through crafting a Vision Board was a great way to start the New Year.
A Vision Board is an oversized visual organizer on foam core board where women can paste images of their inner longings they hope to achieve in the coming year. During the year women can use the Vision Board as a means to keep focused on their goals and keep that inner-passion ignited.
The event will be held at Americas, located at 21 Waterway Avenue in The Woodlands, on Thursday, January 13, 5:30-8pm. Admission is $35 for the workshop which includes hot appetizers, supplies, a special gift box surprise along with a host of raffle prizes guests can take home that evening. All proceeds go directly to Connecting Families to sponsor programs and counseling support as BBVA Compass is sponsoring the event for the agency.
At BBVA Compass, we work for a better future for people, said Amos McDonald, Senior Vice President and District Retail Executive for North Houston. Sponsoring Connecting Families Let the Magic Begin helps us achieve our vision in a very tangible way. We are proud to sponsor this great community event which helps to empower women.
Americas restaurant is featuring some of their premium appetizers like beef tenderloin and Stilton fondue crostini; crab cakes Cordua; empanaditas with cilantro dressing; plantain crusted chicken with spicy black bean sauce along with a cash bar for all guests to enjoy.
Americas restaurant and BBVA Compass have been very generous to us so that we can host this one-of-a-kind event, Boulanger said. This workshop will benefit women throughout the year and also our agency as well.
