
Interfaith of The Woodlands is in search of community senior citizens and volunteers to participate in the annual intergenerational day of service, Serving Our Seniors (S.O.S.) to be held on March 5, 2011. Working with Interfaith, volunteers will spend one day serving our community seniors through various projects.
"Whatever the need, our tremendous group of volunteers is here to assist senior citizens in our community,shared Debbie Repka, Assistant Director of Programs and Services. "Not only will the volunteers be cleaning, raking, painting, and organizing, but building relationships."
�Each year numerous individuals participate in this project," said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO for Interfaith of The Woodlands. "This year, we anticipate having more than 400 volunteers and 200 project sites will be involved."
The special day will begin with breakfast and then the volunteers will be off to their work project sites.
Senior citizens living in independent homes interested in participating need to register with Interfaith by February 18, 2011.
